Introduzione
The Industrialists’ Association of the Vicenza’s Province was established in 1945, at the end of the second World War. At the time the Constituent Assembly was formed, approx. 200 companies became members but one year later the number had already increased to 561, divided into 25 sub-associations according to their trade or activity.
Today, that of Vicenza is one of the largest Associations in the country within Confindustria (the Italian National Manufacturers’ Association), with approx. 2200 member companies, and represents two thirds of the manufacturing sector in the Province as far as turnover and number of employees are concerned.
Its development is closely linked with that of the industry and business enterprises of Vicenza, for which ever since the years of post-war reconstruction, it has maintained a role of stimulus and a leading benchmark especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. These companies have from the start been representative of the Association members. Already at that time, the small and medium sized enterprises made up 96% of the associates, a percentage which has remained substantially unchanged over the years.
Today the members are grouped into 20 classified sections. In addition, there are 9 territorial branches (Bassano del Grappa, Schio, Valdagno, Thiene, Arzignano-Montecchio Maggiore, Area Berica, Vicenza Centro, Vicenza Nord Est, Vicenza Nord Ovest), the Provincial Committee for Small Companies and the Group of Young Entrepreneurs.
The Association plays an important role as representative of the member enterprises in their various categories, a role which is unanimously acknowledged by the community in and for which it works. It is an irreplaceable means of centralising and amalgamating all the requirements of the companies, which on their behalf transmits and discusses with the most suitable interlocutors to find solutions to their various queries.
The services, with an ever-increasing content of technical and scientific know-how, make up the foundations of the support which the Association offers its members. Among these are institutional, indirect and also personalised services, which are a valuable resource as they provide each company with greater means to cope with the rapid and complex changes of the world economy.
